An example. of osmosis?

You can demonstrate the presence of osmosis for yourself very easily. Take a potato and slice a small bar out of it, 1x1x2 cm big for example. Put this bar into a gl of water for a day. Return the next day and you will see that the size of the bar will have increased because of water entering the cells of the potato due to osmosis.
