When a person umes they heard what they didn't hear. how do you handle it, when they are hard head?

friend heard voice speaking in the backround while i was on the phone. i said it was my brother. they swear it was one of my son.. there was no need for me to lie it was my brother. they calling me a lier. i donot appricate it.
