Comparing living in Vancouver Canada and any place in Florida US?

Florida wouldn't suit me. Vancouver may not be warm all the time but Florida is too darn hot much of the year, and I'd have to wear sunscreen most of the year. In Florida it will be too hot for the kids to play outside. And I don't know where you got the idea that an average house or apartment is $1 million in Vancouver.
