Can I work as a youth correctional officer if I experimented with drugs when I was 16 years old?

Help! I am 22 yrs old and currently attending school for my AA in Administration of Justice. I have a clean record; however, when I was 14-16 yrs old I smoked marijuana and tried meth a couple of times (was never addicted). I have been clean since the age of 16 (from everything), when I was 18 I went to school and completed Substance Abuse studies and got certified as a chemical dependency counselor where I have worked as in the past 4 years. I am concerned because I am afraid that I will get disqualified and may even want to start considering a different major. Does anyone have information on this? Or have gotten hired/disqualified after disclosing truthful information such as this?. Please advice.
