Is a caribou as bad-tempered, dangerous as a moose?

There are familiar stories about moose being dangerously unpredictable with people who get too close, but what about caribou? Does being a herd animal make it less likely to leave the group if startled by an intruder? And is the caribou anywhere potentially deadly to humans if PO'ed as a moose is? I think it is significantly smaller than a moose, but know little about its' strength or temperament.
